Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho is ready to join Barcelona in the summer after an initial round of talks between the parties, according to Catalan sports daily Sport.
The Brazilian playmaker is one of Barcelona’s top priorities at the end of the season and they are ready to put in the legwork in order to land the Liverpool star during the summer transfer window.
And it has been claimed that the player’s entourage are convinced that Liverpool will be forced to negotiate his exit if Coutinho is prepared to leave the club in the summer.
Barcelona have already held initial talks with the player’s representatives over a transfer at the end of the season and the 24-year-old is prepared to move to Spain.
The Catalan giants have been working hard behind the scenes in order to make a deal see the light of day and are aware they would need to fork out big money to sign him.
