Watford are expected to take up the option of signing M’Baye Niang on a permanent deal at the end of the season but they could look to renegotiate the agreement with AC Milan.

The Hornets signed the 22-year-old forward from the Rossoneri in January on a loan deal until the end of the season, with an option to make the move permanent in the summer.

The Frenchman has managed to be a regular in Walter Mazzarri’s side since moving to England and Watford are expected to sign him on a permanent contract.

However, according to Tuttosport, it is unclear whether the Premier League outfit are prepared to fork out the €18m that they agreed to pay AC Milan if they decide to take up the option.

There is a possibility that the Watford hierarchy could call AC Milan to the negotiating table again in the summer and look to renegotiate the deal to sign Niang.
