Inter are considering an approach for Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino, but the Argentine is a step below the other options under consideration.

The Nerazzurri's first choice is Chelsea boss Antonio Conte and the Italian giants are giving the Blues manager every opportunity to agree to move to the San Siro for next season.

But Inter are making plans in the event that Conte chooses to stay at Stamford Bridge.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, three other names are doing the rounds at the Nerazzurri, with Pochettino amongst them.

Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri and Roma boss Luciano Spalletti are also under consideration.

It is claimed that both Sarri and Spalletti are currently ahead of Pochettino in the pecking order, though the Argentine is the club's first choice if they go for a foreign coach.

Pochettino has been lauded for his work at White Hart Lane with Spurs and there are no indications he is preparing to quit the Premier League club.

But Inter could still test the water with an approach for the Argentine in the hopes that a move to Serie A is too tempting to turn down.
