Celtic are set to lose out on France goalkeeper Benoit Costil, who is poised to sign a four-year deal with Bordeaux.

Costil decided earlier this year to leave current club Rennes when his contract expires in the summer and was tipped to head abroad in search of a new challenge.

Celtic and Fiorentina were reported to be keen to snap him up, but now it appears Costil has decided to continue in France.

According to Yahoo.fr, Costil is closing in on putting pen to paper on a contract until the summer of 2021 at Bordeaux.

The news will be a disappointment to Costil's other suitors, who had been showing keen interest in the France international shot-stopper.
