Heung-Min Son has insisted that is it a great achievement for Tottenham Hotspur to finish second in the Premier League, with the South Korean international stating that he loved playing at White Hart Lane.

Spurs edged out Manchester United 2-1 in the last ever game at White Hart Lane on Sunday to clinch second spot in the league behind champions Chelsea.




Tottenham are building a new stadium, which is set to be ready to be opened for the beginning of the 2018/19 campaign, adjacent to their current home ground.

And Son, who believes it is a great accomplishment for Spurs to finish as runners-up, explained that he really relished playing at White Hart Lane.
 


However, the 24-year-old forward was quick to add that it is an exciting time for the club as they are scheduled to move to their new stadium after just a year.

“It was an unbelievable day”, Son told Spurs TV.

“I’ve played here for two years and I’ve loved playing here, loved the atmosphere, love the people.

“I’m proud of all my team-mates and just happy for all the staff and the fans.

“We have so many good memories and to finish second in the Premier League is a great achievement.

“Now it’s an exciting time as we move to a new stadium.”

Tottenham, who will be playing all their home games at Wembley next season, are next up against Leicester City on Thursday.
