Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is not keen to lose Marouane Fellaini during the summer transfer window.

The 29-year-old midfielder has found it difficult to make himself a fan favourite since his arrival in 2013, but despite all the managerial changes the Belgian has remained part of the squad.

Fellaini has a contract until the end of next season at Old Trafford and Turkish outfit Trabzonspor recently claimed that they are in talks to sign Fellaini in the summer.

However, Mourinho is not entertaining the thought of losing the Belgian at the end of the season and according to Het Laatste Nieuws, he doesn’t feature on the list of players who he wants to sell, that the Manchester United manager has given to Ed Woodward.

In fact, it has been claimed Mourinho has advised the Manchester United executive vice-chairman to offer a contract extension to the Belgian midfielder in the summer.

Fellaini, who scored the goal against Celta Vigo that took the club to the Europa League final, has managed to earn the trust of the Manchester United manager and remains part of his plans for next season.

However, with Manchester United are expected to invest in another midfielder in the summer, the Belgian could still just remain a squad player at Old Trafford in the new season.

And it remains to be seen whether he is happy to stay at Old Trafford or looks to make a move away in the summer for regular starter status.
