Pat Nevin believes that only Chelsea and Manchester United are capable of vastly changing their team and remaining capable of beating many sides in the Premier League.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte chose to make wholesale changes to his starting eleven for the visit of Watford on Monday night, but the Blues still managed to run out winners, recording a 4-3 victory.

Nevin feels Chelsea ultimately fielded a B team against the Hornets and believes that out of all the sides in the Premier League only Manchester United are capable of doing the same.

"Basically it was our B team – and we're better than Watford", Nevin said on Chelsea TV.

"That's our B team against a team that are mid-table and that shows you the standard", he continued.

"I think there's only one other team in the league that could put out a B team as it were that would be just as good as their A team, or getting towards that, and it's Man United.

"Other than that, no one's got even close to the amount of players you can stick that many in", Nevin added.

The victory against Watford means that Chelsea are now just a win away from recording 30 league victories this season, the first time such a feat will have been achieved in a 38-game campaign in the top flight.

Chelsea finish their league season on Sunday by playing host to Sunderland at Stamford Bridge.
