Leeds United are expected to pursue deals for Hadi Sacko and Kyle Bartley after submitting their retained list for the 2017/18 season to the EFL.

The Whites, who narrowly missed out on a playoff finish this term in the Championship, have released as many as six players.

Jordan Botaka, Alex Purver, Michael Taylor, Ross Turnbull, Jack Vann and Billy Whitehouse have not been offered new deals and will be leaving Leeds at the end of the season.

On the other hand, Modou Barrow, Bartley, Matt Grimes, Alfonso Pedraza and Sacko will return to their parent clubs, following the expiration of their loan deals with the Yorkshire giants.

However, according to BBC Radio Leeds, Leeds are expected to contact Swansea City and Sporting Lisbon over making moves for Bartley and Sacko respectively.

Leeds have also offered a new two-year deal to Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion linked defender Charlie Taylor, who came in for heavy criticism after refusing to turn out for Leeds’ last game of the season against Wigan Athletic.

Taylor is expected to reject the offer.

The Whites, who confirmed that Pablo Hernandez’s contract has been automatically renewed for another season due to the amount of games he featured in during the 2016/17 campaign, have offered new one-year deals to Eoghan Stokes and Tom Pearce, in addition to extending the contracts of Conor Shaughnessy and Romario Vieira.
