Inter Milan have set their sights on Monaco left-back Benjamin Mendy, who has also been linked with a move to Manchester United and Manchester City in the summer.

The 22-year-old full-back, who joined Monaco from Marseille last summer, has been pivotal in their league title triumph and also impressed with his performances in the Champions League.

Clubs have been circling around the full-back over the last few months, with suggestions that Manchester United and Manchester City are set to fight it out for his signature.

However, another big name European club have joined the queue for Mendy as according to Italian daily Tuttosport, Inter are considering making a move for the Frenchman in the summer.

The Nerazzurri are also in the market for a left-back and after scouring the market for suitable candidates, Mendy is at the top of their wishlist for the summer transfer window.

However, Inter are also aware of the interest from the Premier League and the financial commitment they would have to make to snare Mendy away from Monaco in the upcoming months.

Monaco are mindful of the fact that their impressive season could act as a doubled edged sword as a number of their players are on the radar of top clubs at the moment.

But Mendy is not one of the players the Ligue 1 champions are planning to part ways with in the summer.
