Eupen forward Henry Onyekuru has revealed that he has made a decision on his future, and appears to have ruled out a move to Celtic.

The Scottish champions have been trying since the winter window to sign Onyekuru but failed to convince Eupen to sell the young forward, with the Belgian side rejecting a €1m offer.

The 19-year-old is expected to leave the club in the summer and Celtic have retained their interest in him but have seen more clubs join the chase such as Everton, Southampton and West Ham.

Anderlecht and Club Brugge are also keeping a close watch on the forward ahead of the summer and Onyekuru admits that he has made the decision on which club to join.

And while he refused to divulge any details, he has more or less ruled out a transfer to Celtic by indicating that he won’t be moving to Scotland in the summer.

He was quoted as saying by Voetbal Krant: “I’ve made my decision.

“But nothing has been signed yet, so I cannot reveal the new team.

"What I can say is it will be a club from England, Germany or Belgium.”

Celtic seem to be out of the race to sign the Nigerian in the summer and Brendan Rodgers may now be expected to turn his attention towards other targets.
