Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku is not a priority for Manchester United despite the Red Devils having an interest in the Everton striker.

Lukaku, who has scored 25 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees in the present campaign, has been heavily linked with a return to his former employers Chelsea this summer.

The Blues have already initiated contact with the Belgium international’s representatives and it is believed that the new Premier League champions are now poised to launch their first bid for the striker.

But according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, Manchester United are keeping tabs on the situation, despite Lukaku not being their prime target.

The Old Trafford outfit, with whom Lukaku’s agent Mino Raiola shares a good relationship, have identified Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann as their number one target this summer.

It remains to be seen if Manchester United step up their interest in Lukaku if they are unsuccessful in their efforts to land Griezmann.

Lukaku, whose present contract with Everton runs until 2019, joined the Merseyside club from Chelsea permanently in 2014.
