Young Rangers defender Myles Beerman has revealed that if he could move to any other team in the world, he would choose Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old joined Rangers’ academy from Manchester City last summer and was handed his first team debut by new manager Pedro Caixinha in a Scottish Premiership fixture against Kilmarnock in April.

And Beerman, who has since made seven appearances in all competitions for the Gers, said that he would pick Real Madrid if given a choice to move to any other team in the world.

“Possibly Real Madrid”, he told Rangers TV, when asked which team he would move to if given the choice.

Beerman, who has represented Malta up to Under-21 level, went on to add that when he was younger, he looked up to Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

The full-back explained that he admired the former Tottenham Hotspur winger because of pace and athleticism.

“I looked up to Gareth Bale quite a lot because he is left-footed, he is fast and he is a proper athlete”, he continued.

In the present campaign, Bale has scored nine times and set up five goals in 26 games for Real Madrid, who need at least a draw against Malaga on Sunday to win the league title.

The Spanish giants have also managed to reach the Champions League final, where they will face Juventus next month.
