Nantes president Waldemar Kita has revealed that he is interested in re-signing Aston Villa loanee Jordan Veretout for the Ligue 1 side this summer.

The midfielder, who is a product of Nantes’ youth system, joined Aston Villa from the French outfit in 2015.

He failed to make his mark in England, managing just five assists in 29 appearances in all competitions for the Villains, who were relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season.

Aston Villa decided send Veretout on a season-long loan deal to Saint-Etienne in the summer of 2016, with the 24-year-old being in decent form for the Ligue 1 outfit this term.

Besides setting up five goals, the former France Under-21 international has managed to score four times in 42 games for Les Verts in the current campaign.
