Dean Saunders has revealed that League Two club Crewe Alexandra study Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana.

The Reds star excels at pressing, something Jurgen Klopp is keen for his players to do, and his ability to perform the fuction has not gone unnoticed at Gresty Road.




Saunders, whose son Callum has played for the Railwaymen, revealed that Lallana is the only player the League Two outfit have studied when it comes to pressing.

"He is the best presser in the team", the former Liverpool striker said on LFC TV.
 


"My son plays for Crewe and they've done DVDs on him pressing, nobody else [just him]", Saunders added.

Lallana completed all 90 minutes in Liverpool's 3-0 win at home against Middlesbrough on Sunday.

The midfielder also chipped in with a goal as the Reds secured a top four spot and the return of Champions League football to Anfield in style.

Liverpool signed Lallana from Southampton in the summer of 2014 and he quickly became a regular for the Merseyside giants.

Crewe will hope to have learned the art of pressing from Lallana as they look to improve on a 17th place finish in League Two this term.
