Chelsea winger Willian feels his compatriot Gabriel Jesus has everything to become an idol in England with Manchester City.

Since joining Manchester City from Palmeiras in January, the young forward has taken England by storm and even an injury couldn’t stop him from making a big impression in just a few months in the Premier League.

Scoring six goals in ten appearances for Manchester City, the youngster even forced Sergio Aguero on to the bench and there are clear signs that Pep Guardiola prefers Jesus over the experienced Argentine marksman.

Willian admits that English observers are impressed with the impact Jesus has made on the Premier League and the Brazilian feels his international team-mate has what it takes to become a cult figure in England.

Asked about the opinion of the English fans on Jesus, the Chelsea winger told Brazilian daily O Globo: “People are really impressed.

“He has already shown why he came to England and is doing well, scoring goals and providing assists.

“The injury didn’t work out, but he played well when he came back and he has got everything to become an idol [at Manchester City].

“I was impressed with his humility in the national team and he’s a good guy.”

Jesus operated on the flank, with Aguero through the centre, in Manchester City's 5-0 win at Watford on Sunday.
