Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has not ruled out the possibility of signing West Brom and West Ham linked midfielder Ryad Boudebouz during the summer transfer window.

Boudebouz is expected to leave Montpellier in the summer and the French club are said to be demanding a fee of around €8m to €10m for the Algeria international.

Scoring eleven goals in 33 Ligue 1 games this season, the midfielder has been in good form and has attracted the interest of several clubs in Europe, including the Premier League.

West Ham, West Brom and Southampton have all been linked with a move for the Algerian, but in recent days there has been talk that Lyon are considering making a move for him in the summer.

Lyon president Aulas feels that though Boudebouz could be a popular signing for the club, he feels it is too early to talk about a transfer, but will not rule out the possibility of signing the midfielder.

Aulas told reporters, when asked about Lyon’s interest in Boudebouz: “It’s a little premature.

“He is player who is very popular in Lyon and could have come here a few years ago when he left Sochaux.

“Let’s not anticipate anything.

“That being the case, we are searching for players and there will be arrivals.”

Boudebouz has a contract until 2019 with Montpellier.
