Manchester United youngster Demi Mitchell has revealed that it has been dream come true for him to play at Old Trafford, after he turned out in a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.

The youngster was named in Jose Mourinho's starting line-up for the final league fixture at Old Trafford this season and he along with his fellow academy graduates Josh Harrop, Scott McTominay and Angel Gomes made an immediate impression, winning the match 2-0.

Describing his experience of playing for the side, the 20-year-old said that it is what "dreams are made of".

Mitchell also took time to thank his manager for giving him and his young Under-23 team-mates the chance to make it count at senior level for the first time.

"It was a great experience playing at Old Trafford. I was born here and now I’m playing here. It's what dreams are made of", Mitchell told his club's official channel.

"I want to thank the manager and also congratulate the other guys.

"It was a great experience.

"I never thought all of us would be on the pitch at the same time."

21-year-old Harrop made the occasion even more special for himself as he scored a stunning solo goal, just six days after hatting a hat-trick for the reserves, and Mitchell believes that he already had the confidence needed.

"Yeah, it was a great goal", Mitchell added.

"He got a hat-trick the other day and scored two similar goals, so the confidence to score like that is obviously there and good on him for getting his first goal."
