Manchester United must beat Ajax in the Europa League final to be able to attract Antoine Griezmann, according to Sky Sports News HQ.

Griezmann has given fresh legs to talk of a move to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window by rating his chances of joining the Red Devils from Atletico Madrid at six out of ten.

The France international is reported to be one of Jose Mourinho's top targets for the window as he looks to bolster his squad for next term in a bid to improve on a sixth place finish in the Premier League.

But it is claimed that two things must happen in order for Manchester United to be able to sign Griezmann.

The Red Devils must first beat Ajax in the final of the Europa League this week so that they have Champions League football to offer the Frenchman next season.

They must then meet the release clause of £86m in his Atletico Madrid contract.

Griezmann is under contract at the Vicente Calderon until the summer of 2021, but if his release clause is met then Atletico Madrid will be powerless to prevent his departure.

The 26-year-old scored 26 goals in 53 games for Los Rojiblancos this season.
