Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Moussa Dembele will undergo a planned procedure to resolve a persistent problem with his left foot this week.

The midfielder, who has been making appearances from the bench over the last few weeks, came on as a 73rd minute substitute during Spurs 7-1 win over Hull City on Sunday.




Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino last week admitted that the Dembele has been playing through pain due to his foot injury over the last few matches and said that the Belgium international will be seeing a specialist following the club’s last game of the season against the Tigers.

And it has been now confirmed by Spurs that Demeble will undergo a planned procedure this week to resolve the problem with his left foot.
 


As a result, he will will miss Tottenham’s post-season friendly game against Hong Kong outfit Kitchee on Friday.

However, the 29-year-old, who joined Tottenham from Fulham in 2012, is expected to return for pre-season in the summer.

Dembele made 39 appearances in all competitions for the north London club this season, scoring once and setting up two goals.
