Andrea Radrizzani believes Leeds United are ready to move to the next level, after he completed his takeover of the club.

The Italian businessman bought 50 per cent of the club from countryman Massimo Cellino earlier this year and the deal contained an option to allow him to purchase the remaining 50 per cent after the end of the season.

Radrizzani has now done just that and is in complete control of the Championship club, with Cellino ending his controversial spell as Leeds supremo; Cellino is looking at buying into Serie B side Brescia as he seeks to remain in football club ownership.

"I am delighted to have the opportunity to become a custodian of this great football club", he told the club's official site.

Leeds finished in seventh place in the Championship this season, missing out on a playoff spot, and Radrizzani thinks the Whites are now perfectly positioned to kick on under his ownership.

"The heritage and history of Leeds United attracted me to the club and having spent time at games and at Thorp Arch, I can see that we are ready to move forward to the next level.

"This is a long-term commitment, there is a lot of hard work ahead of us and I am aware of my responsibilities as owner of Leeds United.

"I can assure all supporters that everyone at this club will be doing all we can to build a successful team at Elland Road", he added.

Having now completed his takeover of the club, Radrizzani has installed himself as Leeds chairman.
