Newcastle United have been linked with a summer move for 18-year-old SM Caen winger Yann Karamoh, who is also a target for Monaco.

Rafael Benitez is preparing for life in the Premier League and is ready to spend big money in the summer to build a Newcastle squad good enough to survive and flourish in the top tier of English football.




The Newcastle boss has been scouring the market for players ahead of the summer transfer window and it appears a young Ligue 1 winger has attracted the Spaniard’s eyes.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, the newly promoted Premier League club are interested in signing young Caen winger Karamoh during the summer transfer window.
 


A product of the Caen academy, despite his tender years the 18-year-old winger was a regular in the first team last term and netted five league goals in 35 appearances this season.

Newcastle are keen to take him to St. James’ Park in the summer but they could face competition from Ligue 1 champions Monaco for the young winger’s signature.

Monaco however are set to be looking to add to their ranks as they could lose several stars this summer, falling pray to big clubs.

Karamoh, who recently broke into the France Under-21 squad, has a contract until the end of next season with Caen.
