Marseille and Leicester City are interested in snapping up Arsenal outcast Mathieu Debuchy during the summer transfer window.

The Frenchman has been keen to move on from Arsenal over the last two years due to a lack of football, but has so far been unsuccessful in calling time on his Emorates spell.

Other than a 16-minute cameo against Bournemouth in November, the defender has not played in the first team and has been more active with the club’s Under-23s, with three appearances for the reserve side.

Debuchy is again set to try to force his way out of Arsenal in the summer and it has been claimed Marseille have continued to monitor his situation since failing to sign him in January.

The Ligue 1 club have maintained contact with the player’s representatives over recent months, but they could face competition from a Premier League club for his signature.

According to French magazine Le 10 Sport, Leicester are interested in rescuing Debuchy from the Gunners in the summer and are set to offer him an escape route in England.

And it has been claimed that despite an opportunity to return to France, Debuchy is tilting towards agreeing to a move to the King Power Stadium ahead of next season.

He has made just 23 senior appearances for Arsenal in close to three years and still has a contract until 2019 with the club.
