Tottenham Hotspur and Everton target Davy Klaassen is confident that he would not be blamed if he decides to leave Ajax in the summer.

The Ajax captain is preparing for tonight’s Europa League final against Manchester United and many believe it could be his last game in the club’s colours as the Dutchman is expected to move on in the summer.

Ronald Koeman has been tipped with taking him to Everton in the summer and there has been speculation that Tottenham are also keen on a deal to sign him.

And Klaassen feels after years of service at the Amsterdam ArenA, no one at Ajax would begrudge him if he wants to leave the Dutch giants at the end of the season.

He added that if he leaves Ajax, he wants to depart on cordial terms and admits that he cannot say much about his future plans at this stage.

Speaking to Trouw about a transfer abroad, Klaassen said: “I think no one would blame me.

“But I want everyone to have a good feeling.

“I can see that I cannot be honest about a lot of things right now.”

A product of the Ajax academy, the Europa League final tonight will be his 180th senior appearance for the club.
