Leeds United have confirmed that Ronaldo Vieira has put pen to paper on a new contract at the club.

The midfielder broke through to the Whites first team in style in the recently concluded season and earned praise from all quarters as he nailed down a spot under head coach Garry Monk.

Vieira has signed a contract running until the summer of 2021, banishing talk that he could be on the move from Elland Road in the coming transfer window.

Still just 18 years old, Vieira made a total of 38 appearances across all competitions for Leeds this season.

His first goal for the club came in a 3-2 win away at Norwich City and was a stunning strike which shocked the Canaries.
