Everton have been tracking the progress of Italy Under-19 international midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo ahead of the summer transfer window.

A product of the Fiorentina academy, the 17-year-old midfielder joined Serie B outfit Entella last summer and has mostly been playing for their Under-19s this season.

However, the youngster has made enough of an impact in his handful of first team appearances to impress observers and several clubs are keeping track of his progress.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Everton and 1.FC Koln have been watching Zaniolo in recent months and could be interested in signing him in the summer.

The Toffees are on the lookout for young talents and the club's scouts have been impressed with the youngster’s performances at Entella this season in the second tier of Italian football.
