Ajax captain Davy Klaassen has revealed his frustration at Manchester United’s tactics in the Europa League final on Wednesday night.

Manchester United produced a professional performance to record a comfortable 2-0 win over Ajax at the Friends Arena and lifted their second trophy of the season after the EFL Cup triumph in February.

Jose Mourinho’s men allowed Ajax to dominate the ball for the duration of the match and picked off the Dutch champions on the break to win the final in Stockholm.

And despite enjoying the lion’s share of the possession, Ajax failed to test Sergio Romero in Manchester United’s goal and Klaassen admits that his team felt frustrated at the way the English giants sat back, which made them difficult to break down.

The Ajax captain told RTL7: “They just sat back 20 meters from goal and that’s difficult [to break down] when you are not having a great day.
