Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero has insisted that Patrik Schick’s suitors are aware that the striker will spend next season with La Samp, in an indication any sale will be followed by an instant loan back.

The 21-year-old Czech forward’s future at the club has been a hot topic of late, with a number of clubs believed to be interested in signing him in the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur have been leading the charge from the Premier League, reportedly already agreeing personal terms with his agent, and he has also attracted the roving eyes of Juventus and Borussia Dortmund as his future looks more likely to be away from Sampdoria.

However, there has been speculation that Schick will remain at Sampdoria for one more season on loan even if he agrees to join a new club in the summer and Ferrero has all but confirmed that to be the case.

The Sampdoria president told Secolo XIX: “Whoever takes him knows that he will remain here for one more year.”

Ferrero is resigned to losing the young forward in the summer, but has stressed that the club will develop one more player of his quality.

“Here we will create a new Schick.”

Sampdoria only snapped up Schick from Sparta Prague last year.
