Celtic defender Kolo Toure insists it is a privilege for him to be part of an invincibles team for the second time in his career as he explained that everyone associated with the club deserves credit for the success.

The Hoops, who signed Toure on a free transfer last summer, won the Scottish Premiership title without a single loss.

It is the second time that Toure has been a part of an invincibles squad, with the 36-year-old previously helping Arsenal to win the Premier League undefeated in the 2003/04 season.

And the centre-back, who admitted that it feels great to be involved in an invincibles team yet again, was quick to add that Celtic’s success is not solely down to the players.

“To be honest, it’s great, but for me, the most important thing is to give your best for the club and the team”, Toure said on Celtic TV, when asked how he is feeling to be part of an invincibles team for the second time in his career.

“It’s a privilege to be in that list.

“But at the end of the day, what the team did depends on the coaches, the manager and everyone associated with the club.

“The success comes from everywhere and to be able to do that is amazing.

“But credit is due to everyone at the club.”

Celtic could end their entire domestic campaign unbeaten and win the treble if they beat Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden on Saturday.
