Manchester United and Chelsea linked defender Kostas Manolas has insisted that his future lies at Roma despite all the speculation over him leaving in the summer.

The Greek defender has been linked with a move away from Roma since December and there have been suggestions that he could be leaving before next season rolls out.




Manchester United and Chelsea have been heavily linked with the Roma defender and there is also talk that Inter Milan are working behind the scenes to take him to the San Siro.

However, despite all the speculation, the defender indicated that he sees his future at Roma and stressed that he never said anything about leaving the Stadio Olimpico.
 


But he did add that he will have to speak with the Roma hierarchy in the coming days over his future.

Asked about his future plans, Manolas told Sky Italia: “I see it here.

“I have two years on my contract and I never said anything about parting ways with the club.

"There is no truth in what you write.

“It is true that I will have to speak to the club.”

The 25-year-old joined Roma from Olympiacos in 2014 and has clocked up 130 appearances for the Giallorossi.
