Mino Raiola is set to meet AC Milan’s hierarchy again next week to discuss a new contract for Manchester United linked goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The Rossoneri have been trying to agree a new contract with Raiola for several months as they look to secure the prodigious young goalkeeper’s future at the San Siro for the long term.

However, nerves have been a jangling at the San Siro as there has been little progress in the negotiations in recent weeks and the two parties last met over a month ago.

Thing could move forward as next week as according to Corriere dello Sport, Raiola will meet the AC Milan bosses to discuss the terms of the new deal for Donnarumma.

The 18-year-old goalkeeper is a coveted young talent in Europe and the Italian super agent is keen to listen to AC Milan’s offer and the club’s project under their new Chinese owners before Donnarumma commits to a new contract.

AC Milan are not ready to offer a contract worth more than €3m per season and a percentage of proceeds to Raiola from any future sale for the moment.

Manchester United and Manchester City have been keeping tabs on the young goalkeeper for months and AC Milan are aware that the longer the negotiations stretch the more than chances of Donnarumma leaving increase.

Raiola has offers from big clubs for Donnarumma, but there are suggestions that he could wait until next summer when the goalkeeper will be available on a free transfer.
