AC Milan are looking to raise around half the money needed to sign Moussa Dembele from Celtic by selling M'Baye Niang, who is attracting interest from Everton, according to Italian daily Tuttosport.

The Rossoneri are increasingly focusing on signing Dembele from Celtic and believe the former Fulham striker will cost a minimum of €30m.

And AC Milan want to raise more than half of that amount by selling Niang on a permanent deal in the summer; the youngster’s present deal with the Rossoneri runs until 2019.

Niang spent the second half of the 2016/17 campaign on loan at Watford, who have an agreement with AC Milan that they will have to pay €18m if they want to buy the 22-year-old.

However, the Hornets are yet to redeem their purchase option for Niang and the Rossoneri are in the dark on whether they plan to do so.

There is another potential option for Niang in the Premier League though as it is claimed Ronald Koeman's Everton are showing an interest.

The former France Under-21 international managed to score twice and set up as many assists in 16 league outings for Watford.

On the other hand, Niang’s compatriot Dembele is enjoying a breakthrough campaign in Scotland, after joining Celtic from Fulham last summer.

The 20-year-old forward has netted a staggering 32 times and provided nine assists in 49 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops.

He attracted interest from Chelsea in the winter transfer window.
