Crystal Palace target Bacary Sagna has revealed that he is not yet thinking about joining Marseille, despite stating that Les Phoceens are one of the best clubs in France.

The right-back, who was released by Manchester City earlier in the week, following the expiration of his contract, is currently on the lookout for a new club.

Sagna recently said that he considers Marseille a good club with an ambitious project, with the 34-year-old linked with a move to the Ligue 1 outfit after his comments.

But the defender, who is on the radar of Crystal Palace, explained that he just said what he thought of Marseille as he insisted that he is not thinking about signing for the Stade Velodrome outfit this summer.

"I was asked what I thought of the club, I was sincere and said that they were good”, Sagna said on French radio station RMC.
