Inter Milan have slapped in a bid for Real Madrid star James Rodriguez, who has also been linked with a move to Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Colombian winger is expected to leave the club at the end of the season after struggling to become a regular starter under Zinedine Zidane and has been linked with a number of top clubs.

Chelsea have been keeping an eye on him since last year and there were claims that he has agreed terms of a contract with Manchester United ahead of a proposed move to Old Trafford at the end of the season.

However, it seems Serie A giants Inter are currently doing all the running in the saga and according to Spanish sports daily AS, Real Madrid have received an offer from the Nerazzurri for Rodriguez.

It has been claimed that Inter have slapped in a €42m bid for the Colombian and are confident of reaching an agreement with Real Madrid in the summer.

However, they might have to offer more money for the player as Real Madrid have placed a higher value on Rodriguez and are keen to make the most out of his departure.

Rodriguez, who has also attracted interest from Juventus, has a contract until 2020 with Real Madrid.

He cost Los Blancos around €80m.
