Roma striker Eden Dzeko admits that he would love to have an opportunity to work under Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.

The former Manchester City striker has reignited his career in Italy and he is going into the last weekend of the Serie A campaign as the league’s top scorer with 28 goals.

While he is well into his early 30s, the Bosnian still has the ambition to play for a few more years and admits that he would love to get an opportunity to work under Mourinho.

He has insisted that the current Manchester United boss is indeed a special manager because of his ability to continue to win trophies at different clubs during his career.

And Dzeko admits that he has heard nothing but good things about Mourinho from the players who have worked under him.

The striker told Sky Italia when asked which coach he would like to work with in his career: “I once said that I would like to play for Mourinho.

“They called him the special one in England and he is special as he has won so many trophies with different teams.

“I’ve heard a lot about him from other players who played under him and they all have nice things to say.”

Mourinho ended his first season with Manchester United with two trophies and a return to Champions League football despite attracting criticism for their league form.
