Vincent Janssen has put thoughts on his Tottenham Hotspur future on the back-burner until after his international duty with the Netherlands this summer, admitting that is when it will become clear what all parties want.

Spurs paid €20m to sign Janssen from AZ Alkmaar last summer and the striker arrived at White Hart Lane after a season in which he had top scored in the Eredivisie.

But he has struggled to make an impact in north London and there is now speculation over whether Spurs could sell him in the summer, amid interest from Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Janssen insists he has become a better player at Tottenham, but says thoughts about the future must wait until after Oranje duty, when it will then become clear what all parties want.

"I want to focus on the Dutch team first", he told the Algemeen Dagblad.

"After that, we will see how all parties see the future", Janssen continued.

"I've always said I will give it a go at Spurs for at least a year.

"I played less than expected, but now I am a better player from working every day at the top level in England."

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will want to keep Janssen, especially if Spurs receive bids for the Dutch striker.

Janssen would also appear unlikely to dislodge Harry Kane from the starting line-up at White Hart Lane, meaning staying at Tottenham could force the striker to accept less playing time than might be the case elsewhere.

The Netherlands are due to play friendlies against Morocco and the Ivory Coast over the coming week.
