Turkish side Alanyaspor want to keep hold of Portuguese winger Daniel Candeias, but Rangers are leading the chase for his signature.

Candeias has just completed the season on loan at the Turkish outfit, featuring on a regular basis for a side that finished in eleventh spot in the Super Lig.

Under contract with Portuguese giants Benfica, the 29-year-old is wanted at Rangers by Pedro Caixinha, who is looking to draft in a number of his countrymen to boost the Gers for next term.

According to Portuguese outlet Mais Futebol, Alanyaspor want to keep hold of Candeias, following his impressive performances for the club.

However, it is claimed that Rangers are still at the front of the queue for the winger, with a switch to Ibrox appearing to prove tempting for the Portuguese.
