Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Manchester United and Manchester City linked midfielder Fabinho in the summer.

The Court of Arbitration for Sports are set to take a decision on whether to lift the transfer ban on Atletico Madrid later today and the club are hopeful about a positive outcome.




Los Colchoneros have already planned ahead if the CAS lifts the ban and have a shortlist of targets ready who they want to pursue during the summer transfer window.

And according to Spanish sports daily AS, Monaco midfielder Fabinho is one of the players the club are keen to sign should they receive the green signal from the CAS.
 


With Tiago expected to leave, Atletico Madrid want to strengthen their midfield resources and Diego Simeone wants to take the Brazilian to the club in the coming months.

However, the 23-year-old Brazilian is a wanted man in the market and Atletico Madrid are expected to face competition for his signature from clubs such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus.

Fabinho is expected to leave Monaco as the Ligue 1 champions are reportedly have a moral commitment to allow him go in the summer.
