Crystal Palace and West Ham United are showing interest in former Newcastle United defender Davide Santon.

The 26-year-old is expected to leave Italian giants Inter this summer after struggling to make an impact with the club this season.

Santon was taken to England by Newcastle in 2011 and remained on the books at St. James' Park until returning to Inter, where he came through the youth ranks, in 2015.

Now he may have an opportunity to return to the Premier League as, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, both Crystal Palace and West Ham are monitoring his situation.

A switch to London could be attractive for Santon as he seeks to get his career back on track.

Palace are currently without a manager following the resignation of Sam Allardyce, while Slaven Bilic is still in post at West Ham, despite other managers being continually linked with replacing him at the London Stadium.

Santon has Champions League experience, gained at Inter, while he has also collected eight caps for Italy at international level.
