Rangers are expected to sign one of two wingers, with the pair's futures being intertwined, and a second Benfica star affected.

Gers boss Pedro Caixinha is using the full weight of his contacts in Portugal to add to his options at Rangers as he looks to revamp the squad at Ibrox ahead of a hoped for challenge to Celtic next term.

He is keen on signing a winger and has been promised Daniel Candeias by Benfica; Candieas has just signed off on a season-long loan in Turkey with Alanyaspor.

But Salvador Agra is also an option, the winger also being of interest to Caixinha.

According to Portuguese sports daily O Jogo, Agra is likely to join Benfica, but may never wear the club's shirt as he is between Rangers and Vitoria Setubal.

Where Agra ends up will directly impact Candeias.

If Agra moves to Vitoria Setubal, Candeias will join Rangers – it is claimed Candeias has been promised to Caixinha.

However, if Rangers sign Agra then Candeias will stay in Turkey will Alanyaspor, who want to keep hold of him for next season.

Meanwhile, in that scenario then Diogo Gonclaves, also under contract with Benfica, would join Vitoria Setubal.
