The future of Chelsea and Manchester United target Ivan Perisic is only expected to be thrashed out when Inter appoint their new coach, with Luciano Spalletti expected to be announced soon.

Inter are tipped to confirm Spalletti as their new coach over the coming week and, according to the BBC, one of his first tasks will be to resolve Perisic's future.

Manchester United are keen on the winger, but have yet to meet Inter's asking price and it appears the Nerrazzurri have been reluctant to deal until a new man is in the dugout at the San Siro.

It remains to be seen whether Spalletti would be happy to give the green light to Perisic's sale, or tries to make sure the Croatia international continues at the club.

Manchester United could have competition for Perisic if Inter do sell, with Chelsea having lodged an enquiry recently to take soundings over the player's availability and likely price tag.
