Tottenham Hotspur target Maximilian Philipp has revealed it is 50-50 whether he will stay at Freiburg this summer.

The attacker is in demand heading into the summer transfer window and Freiburg could find the 23-year-old heading elsewhere, something which would leave a big hole in the Schwarzwald-Stadion outfit's team.

Philipp, who is claimed to have been the subject of a €20m offer from Borussia Dortmund, is currently with the Germany Under-21 squad in Grassau.

He insists he is not at all certain to leave Freiburg and could stay, but the decision appears to be on a knife-edge, with Philipp admitting it is 50-50 what he will choose to do.

"I cannot exactly yet say, whether I see myself [going] far away, or whether I might stay another year", the Freiburg star told Sky Deutschland.

"This is a 50-50 decision", Philipp added.

The Germany Under-21 star has interest from the Premier League, where Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is an admirer, while staying in Germany could still lead to Champions League football in the event of a switch to Dortmund.

Philipp, who operates as a forward, made 25 appearances in the Bundesliga for Freiburg this season, scoring nine goals in the process, as his side finished a lofty seventh.
