Zenit St Petersburg have entered the chase for Atalanta defender Andrea Conti, who has also been a target for Chelsea, Liverpool and AC Milan.

The 23-year-old defender’s future looks increasingly away from Atalanta with more and more clubs showing an interest in snaring him away from the Serie A club this summer.

Chelsea and Liverpool have long been linked with a move for the player and there are suggestions that even Bayern Munich are interested in signing him in the transfer window.

However, AC Milan appear to be in pole position for his signature with the player reportedly pushing for a move to the San Siro, but it seems there is a new club who have joined the saga.

According to Sky Italia, Russian giants Zenit are interested in signing Conti and are considering making a move for him in the summer to further heat up the chase for the Italian.

Zenit recently appointed Roberto Mancini as their new coach and the Italian is pushing to sign his compatriot Conti at the start of his reign with the Russian giants.

However, it remains to be seen whether Conti shows an appetite for a move to Russia or continues to push for a move to AC Milan, his personal favourites for the moment.
