Tottenham Hotspur target Maximilian Philipp is on his way to Borussia Dortmund from Freiburg.

Forward Philipp recently admitted it was 50-50 whether he would stay with Freiburg into next season and it appears the decision has been made by the 23-year-old.

According to German daily Bild, Philipp interrupted his training camp with Germany Under-21s in order to complete a switch to Dortmund.

Philipp has been linked with Premier League giants Tottenham, but he looks to be heading to Dortmund for a fee of around €20m.

The length of contract Philipp will sign with Dortmund remains unknown at present.

Philipp was in fine form for Freiburg this season and helped the club to book a spot in the Europa League qualifiers through the Bundesliga.

Freiburg though will have to make do without the forward next season and he leaves a big hole in the club's side.

Dortmund finished third in the Bundesliga this term.
