Rangers are giving medicals to Fabio Cardoso, Dalcio Gomes and Eduardo Herrera, as they close on snapping up the trio.

Gers boss Pedro Caixinha is pressing the accelerator in the transfer market and all three players have arrived in Glasgow to undergo their medicals with the Scottish giants.

Defender Cardoso is under contract to Portuguese Primeria Liga side Vitoria Setubal and Caixinha is keen for the 23-year-old to increase his defensive options.

Dalcio, who operates as a forward, is set to join Rangers from Portuguese heavyweights Benfica on a loan deal.

Herrera meanwhile is poised over a permanent move to Ibrox from Mexican side Pumas.

The prolific goalscorer netted 56 goals in 186 games for Liga MX outfit Pumas and will reportedly cost Rangers a fee of around £1.5m to sign.

Rangers have already agreed a deal for another Mexican, midfielder Carlos Pena, but as is likely to be the case with Herrera too, a work permit needs to be issued for the transfer to be completed.
