AC Milan are set to meet the agent of Liverpool and Chelsea linked defender Andrea Conti on Thursday to discuss a proposed move, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato.

Conti has been heavily linked with a move away from Atalanta this summer, with a host of clubs interested in snapping up the 23-year-old.

Besides AC Milan, Liverpool and Chelsea, the likes of Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Napoli and Zenit St. Petersburg have also been credited with showing interest in Conti.

But the Rossoneri, who are currently leading the chase for the Italian, are expected to meet Conti’s agent on Thursday to discuss the possibility of the defender heading to the San Siro in the summer.

It is believed that the player himself is leaning towards a transfer to AC Milan in the upcoming days.

On the other hand, Atalanta could be considering selling Conti if they receive an offer of around €25m for him, it has been claimed.

Conti, who played as a midfielder in the recently concluded season, scored eight goals and provided four assists in 33 Serie A games.

AC Milan have already done business with Atalanta this summer, snapping up Franck Kessie last week.
