Dalcio Gomes says he is prepared to brave the weather in Scotland in order to shine for Rangers.

The Benfica forward has arrived in Scotland from sunny Portugal to put pen to paper on a one-year loan deal at Rangers, linking up with countryman Pedro Caixinha at Ibrox.

Dalcio understands the extreme pressure to win which Rangers are under in Scotland, but insists he will not allow himself to be affected and will not take the pressure onto the pitch.

"I realise the club has the need to win and the supporters always want the club to win, but I will leave the pressure off the field before I go onto it", the Portuguese told Rangers TV.

The forward has played the majority of his football in his homeland with Benfica B, meaning playing in Scotland will present him with a different set of weather conditions to battle.

Dalcio admits he has already been warned things may be a bit colder and wetter than in Portugal.

But he is ready to tackle the conditions to make his loan spell at Rangers a success.

"People have already told me to get used to the rain and the weather, but I am prepared to live with that!" Dalcio added.

The forward is Caixinha's third signing of the summer for Rangers.
