Incoming Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti wants to keep Manchester United and Chelsea target Ivan Perisic at the club, according to Sky Italia.

Inter are expected to confirm Spalletti as their new coach soon, and it seems the former Roma boss wants Perisic to remain at the San Siro.

It was earlier believed that Inter had to sell the Croatia international due to Financial Fair Play concerns, with Manchester United and Chelsea credited with showing interest in him.

But after a meeting amongst Spalletti, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio and Nerazzurri technical director Walter Sabatini, the Italian giants have decided against parting ways with Perisic, it has been claimed.

Inter, who have to raise at least €30m by the end of this month due to their concerns over Financial Fair Play, now want to sell four of their other players to receive the required amount.

They reportedly rejected a €40m offer from Manchester United for Perisic, whom they rate somewhere between €50m-€60m.

Chelsea have also lodged an enquiry recently to take soundings over the player's availability and the likely price tag.

However, it seems Inter are unlikely to sell Perisic, who scored 11 league goals in the recently concluded season.
