Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus’ agent has revealed the good relationship that exists between the young Brazilian and Pep Guardiola.

The 20-year-old striker arrived at Manchester City from Palmeiras in January and made an instant impact with his goals and performances, resulting in Sergio Aguero losing his place in the starting eleven.

An injury derailed his fantastic start but he returned towards the end of the season to provide further evidence of his talent with four goals in last five Premier League starts.

Guardiola preferred the youthful Jesus over the more experienced Aguero and the Brazilian’s agent, Cristiano Simoes, admits that the Manchester City boss is satisfied with his client’s performances thus far.

Simoes told Tutto Mercato when asked about the young striker and his relationship with Guardiola: “Gabriel is happy.

“No doubt there is a good relationship between the two and the coach is fully satisfied with what he has shown so far.

“In short, everything has worked out for the best.”

Jesus scored seven goals in ten Premier League appearances last season and even turned provider for four of his side’s goals.

It remains to be seen whether he starts next season as Guardiola’s preferred man up front after another summer of heavy spending.
