Fabio Cardoso has stressed that Rangers fans can expect some excitement and surprises from fellow Gers new boy Dalcio Gomes.

Cardoso joined Rangers on Wednesday to bolster the Portuguese contingent at the club after Bruno Alves and Dalcio joined Pedro Caixinha at Ibrox over the last week.

The 23-year-old defender is looking forward to playing with Alves, who earned 89 caps for Portugal, and is certain that he is going to learn a lot under the wing of his experienced compatriot.

Cardoso also teased the Rangers fans about the potential of his fellow Rangers new boy Dalcio and is confident that the 21-year-old is going to surprise the Ibrox faithful with his pace, skill and ability to score goals.

“He [Alves] is an amazing player and is one of the best defenders from my country. I know with him I will learn a lot”, the defender told Rangers TV.

“Dalcio is going to surprise the supporters, he is a very young player but he is very good and very fast.

“He is good to score and he is going to bring great happiness to the supporters.”

Midfielder Ryan Jack is the only non-Portuguese player Caixinha has signed so far this summer at Rangers.

The Rangers manager is also believed to be closing in on two Mexican internationals in Carlos Pena and Eduardo Herrera.
