Rangers new boy Dalcio Gomes has insisted that he does not have any preferred position and that he is open to being deployed in any role deemed fit by manager Pedro Caixinha.

The Benfica youngster put pen to paper on a one-year loan deal at Rangers on Tuesday, thereby becoming the Gers’ third summer signing after Bruno Alves and Ryan Jack.




He made 33 second division league appearances for Benfica B during the 2016/17 campaign, netting once and setting up three goals.

Although Dalcio was mostly used as a winger by Benfica B in the recently concluded season, he also played as a central midfielder and an attacking midfielder.
 


And the former Portugal Under-20 international, who admitted that he can play in a number of positions, however explained that he does not have any preferred one, with the starlet saying that he will play wherever Caixinha wants him to.

“I’m a player who can play in many different positions over the field, but I’ve no single one I prefer”, he said to Rangers TV, when asked about his preferred position.

“I can play wherever the manager tells me to and the important thing is to help the team achieve their goals.”

Dalcio went on to add that Rangers can fully count on him as he will be always giving his 100 per cent on the field.

“I want to help the team and my team-mates, and you can count on me to give 100 per cent on the field”, he continued.
